Studio

This is a Flash animation that was a shortcut to a number of spots on my old website. SOME of the images embedded within are currently dead, but I’m working on updating the links to posts on this new blog version of PXLFORGE.

ACTIVATE! @ Lookout Launches PRIDE Friday!

ACTIVATE @ Lookout is a Friday event premiering Friday June 27th (Stonewall Day) at the Lookout in San Francisco. I designed their logo as well as all marketing materials as well as some of the decor (large silhouettes of muscle men).

ACTIVATE @ Lookout - Ad #2

I also created the character featured on the launch posters… “The Global Dominator” – alter ego of ACTIVATE! brainchild Lord Martine. Here is an evolution of the character as featured in Gloss Magazine.

Really old Self-Portrait

This was done for a drawing class way back when at Boston Universty. I later used it for a printmaking class as the subject for an aquatint etching. I’ve always like it so thought I should share it here.

The ladies of Harlot Mansion

First hand drawn, then inked, scanned and photoshopped, these images were created as textures to decorate a 3D mansion in a game level built with the Unreal engine. The game is set within an opulent mansion belonging to the owner of fictional “Harlot Magazine”.

Rose and Thorn

Rose and Thorn is a poster I originally worked on back in college. But I liked it so much that I decided to revisit it now that my skills are a bit more up to the task.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Halloween Boxed Set

Here is a series of 3D turnarounds and facial textures for 3D character designs that I created for Palisades Toys a boxed set of PALz “block figures” based on the 2nd season Halloween episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. All 3D models and textures used for the final figures that Palisades Toys had manufactured in China were created by myself, as were all their accessories.

More members of The Guard

Here are some more sketches for members of The Guard

From left to right: Echo (an obsessed blind psionic ninja who seeks to move fate from a dangerous path at any cost), Splendor (a lesbian pop star capable of generating solid light constructions) and Magistrate (one of a legion of protectors assigned by the creators of an artificially generated and closely monitored multiverse. his consciousness is made up of 100 individuals taken at random from the sector he is meant to protect).

Hera and The Olympian

These character designs are for 2 members of a team called The Guard. Hera is actually Hera of myth. Unlike her fellow Olympians, she was an emissary representing an alien pantheon when she first met Zeus who was immediately taken with her and gave her the gift of immortality on their wedding day. But the honeymoon didn’t last. Hera dumped her cheating hubby and due to fine print she added to the wedding contract she got Olympus in the divorce, leaving Zeus and his brood to go live with brother Hades in his infernal realm.

Hera and The Olympian

Olympian was a magically aged boy driven into a rage by grief, when Hera first found him. She remains unaware of his true origins, and has since engaged in an ongoing romantic relationship. If Olympian remembers his true identity he has never said anything. His strength and speed led Hera to find him a suitable candidate for breeding. they have 2 children.

Venus in Vegas

Concept sketch for a story about Venus the Goddess of Love having to prove unselfish love exists… in Las Vegas. She’s been exiled from Olympus for breaking her marriage vows again and won’t be allowed back until she’s found true love in the city of sin.

The Independents – a team of unemployed superheroes

The Independents are a team of Super Heroes that I created while working at Angry Monkey before it went under. The look and abilities of each character was originally inspired by one of the Angry Monkey employees.
