The BoC now stands for Bar on Church

The BoC used to be a popular nickname for the former Bar on Castro, but it has a new meaning now that the Bar is moving to Church! I’ve been asked to design the launch advertising campaign… including ads and logos for a number of differently-themed nights.

ACTIVATE! @ Lookout Launches PRIDE Friday!

ACTIVATE @ Lookout is a Friday event premiering Friday June 27th (Stonewall Day) at the Lookout in San Francisco. I designed their logo as well as all marketing materials as well as some of the decor (large silhouettes of muscle men).

Creatus Maximus

I’ve teamed up with James Carrol of Wijitworld on a website for our old friend Ken Lilly (former Palisades. The client wanted a futurist / retro animated interface and James and I worked on the concept together, then he designed and implemented the animation and I finalized all the textures / gradients etc. and assembled the site in html. Creatus Maximus has since been scaled down to just the forum. Original version hosted here.

I never did any work on the Muppet line. But I was a big fan. My connection with Palisades doing the PALz DID get me a lot of Muppet swag though. Anyway here’s a desktop pattern for you Muppet fans out there.

Landing back in San Francisco in 1994, graphic designer Sean Brennan, immediately went native and started his own design studio: PXLFORGE. As a graphic artist with years of experience designing for media platforms ranging from print and the www to DVD interface and 3D product design, Sean and PXLFORGE handle projects large and small.

Recently Sean's work has been seen all over bus stops and bulletin boards in San Francisco's Castro in the form of ads, posters and logo designs for TRIGGER, Comedy in the Castro, Buddies with Benefits, Forward March, ACTIVATE! AsiaSF, the New BOC - Bar on Church and Lord Martine Global.

Sean was the designer of PALz - a line of block-figure toys from the now defunct Palisades Toys based on popular Fox properties Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the X-Files. He also worked as a production artist on the 900+ screens of the deluxe Lord of the Rings trilogy DVD collection.
